Book Giveaway: TEA LEAVES AND TAROT CARDS

To celebrate the Thorndike Press large print publication of my historical romance TEA LEAVES AND TAROT CARDS, I will be giving away another print copy of the novel.

You have until Monday January 31, 2011 to post a comment along with an email address where you can be reached if you wish to be entered. Drawing of the winner will be done at random by an impartial third party who doesn’t know any of the writers or readers.

TEA LEAVES AND TAROT CARDS is a sensual historical romance set in the Regency era. Warning: this book sizzles! Maeve, part gypsy, has psychic abilities. Adam, the Marquess of Huntingdon, a world weary cynic, would like to make the mysterious Maeve his mistress. Maeve leads him a merry chase. The novel has elements of mystery, the paranormal, romantic suspense and humor.

Here are some comments from reviewers:

"Jacqueline Seewald's Tea Leaves and Tarot Cards delivers an unusual and intriguing heroine together with fast-paced historical romantic-suspense. Seewald is very much at home in her early 19th century setting."- Jayne Ann Krentz (Amanda Quick) New York Times Bestselling Author

“It is clear that Seewald's goal is to offer a deeply felt, emotional romance.” Library Journal

“TEA LEAVES AND TAROT CARDS is rich in secondary characters across the spectrum of society...TEA LEAVES AND TAROT CARDS has a lot to offer with its original characters and imaginative plot.” Romance Reviews Today

“This is a delightful lighthearted regency frolic.” Genre Go Round Reviews

What do you as a reader look for in romance novels? What most satisfies you as a reader?
All comments and discussion most welcome!

Hey, again, as blogger ate my first post. (I hate it when the internet is hungry!)

Congrats on your large print release, Jacqueline. I love strong heroines who can think their way out of trouble. As for satisfaction, for me there's nothing like a well-deserved happily ever after.

my addy for the drawing is maggietoussaint at darientel dot net

Wishing you all the best,

Maggie

Thanks, Maggie, for your perseverance. It seems you're the first commentator to get
through on blogger.

I know you also write both romance and mystery.
I too like strong heroines and happy endings; I guess that's why I read romance fiction avidly.

Congrats on your print release!! This sounds very good.

I love strong independent heroines that have a soft side when it warrants.

Your books sounds great! I like a heroine who is strong, one who doesn't have to have the hero to "complete her", but one who who can stand alone, but chooses a mate who is equally strong.

Congrats on the release. I will withdraw from the drawing to give others a chance to win the book.

Judy, D'Ann, and Maryann,

Thank you each and all for your comments.
I do prefer to create a heroine of strong character like Maeve. Adam is a flawed hero,
but he learns from his mistakes, thanks to Maeve.

Jacqueline, these reviews are terrific. Great title, cover, and heroine. My kind of protagonist and story. Congratulations on the large print release.

Huge congrats on your large print release, Jacqueline! TEA LEAVES and TAROT CARDS sounds like a great read!

I like lot's of sexual tension in a romance. I've found if I read a book with little ST, or poorly done ST, I get bored and most likely I will put the book down, never to pick it up again.

So, yes, in answere to your Q, LOT's of ST is what I look for in a romance. :)

Great reviews! Again, congradulations!

I love historical romance. If I love the characters, I will go anywhere with the author. If there is a touch of humor that is nice. If it makes me cry that can be nice to lol. And I love variety so almost anything goes. This sounds like a unique premise and sounds good to me!
